Dental sealants and fluoride treatment  are preventive measures beside routine toothbrushing. Pits and Fissure sealant is a thin, protective coating placed on the Molars chewing surface.

Fluoride is added in government control water, some of the toothpaste or at clinic after scaling topical fluoride application to aid in the prevention of dental caries.

Pits and Fissure Sealants
Molars usually erupt at 6, and molars surface have multiple  pits and fissure/ groove that easily trap food particles. In the long-term, bacteria teams up and creates damage to our teeth known as cavities/hole.
Center of Disease Control CDC in report released in oct 2016, school-age children without sealants have almost three times more cavities than children with sealants.

Pits and fissure Sealants can help to seal off the grooves therefor caries prevention.

It is a simple process that just require cleaning of surface and thin fluid material applied to seal and protect against partial residing on the tooth.
